Fairy tales on TV - 'Grimm' and 'Once Upon a Time' set to premiere on NBC, ABC

Fairy tales on TV - 'Grimm' and 'Once Upon a Time' set to premiere on NBC, ABC -- Recent adaptations of books and fairy tales to films for young adult audiences (Red Riding Hood; Snow White and the Huntsman) is fueling interest in Hollywood in doing the same thing for television viewers. Two cases in point are Grimm and Once Upon a Time set to premiere this month on NBC and ABC, respectively.
Grimm's Fairy Tales is the common name of the book of German originated fairy tales written by Jacob and Wilhelm Grimm, Children's and Household Tales. The book was first published in 1812 and contains such well-known stories and characters as Rapunzel, Hansel and Gretel, Cinderella, Snow White, and Rumpelstiltskin. A second volume of the tales was published in 1814, and subsequent editions with various revisions came out after that.
